This semi abstract painting depict Langland Bay in South Wales. Visiting Langland in the spring allowed me to capture the cliffs surrounding the bay when adorned by a carpet of lush green vegetation and vivacious yellow and violet heather set against the crystal blue ocean. A close up of the painting reveals the detail of the quirky houses and beach huts. The day I visited the sun was cascading through the clouds causing the sand to reflect the light in a silver haze and the sky was crisp and bright.
