Glistening Cobb

Acrylic and Gold leaf with mixed media Relief
Size:24" x 24" (61.5cm x 61.5cm)
Deep edge gallery wrapped canvas

If you have ever visited my home town, Lyme Regis in Dorset then this will be a familiar image. Ever since "The French Lieutenant's Woman" by autor John Fowles, was written people have continued to flock to Lyme Bay and stand on the tip of the cobb staring out at the sea. To create this painting I visited the cobb in the first light of the day. It had been raining all night and as if like magic when I arrived the sun came through the clouds and the wet stone shimmered with light. In this painting I have not only concentrated on the exaggerated curve of the cobb but also its amazing colour and texture

PLEASE NOTE: Colours may vary due to different monitor settings.

Love the painting but would prefer a different size? Why not commission me?
