This painting captures the sun coming through after a downpour of rain at St. Ives bay, Cornwall. The light is glistening through the clouds revealing the shimmering textured rooftops and rock wall which I have highlighted with touches of genuine gold leaf. I have used a subtle blend of light blue,sapphire and sea green with hints of iridescent gold and pearl white.
